The Company
A national mining owner/operator with a well established presence in the Australian base metals industry through advancedexploration projects and acquisition. Currently operating 2 underground sites and 2 open cut site in Northern Queensland the company is now further developing their professional team due to the approval of a feasibility study.
Responsibilities:

The preparation and presentation of regular reports documenting mine production, grade control, reconciliation and drill results

Management of drilling contractors

Mentorship of Junior staff members

Working closely with the mining department to ensure timely supply of block models for stope definition

Maintaining and improving geology data collection systems
-
Supervising QAQC practices for face sampling and assaying
-
Maintaining and improving grade control, stope definition and resource growth
This role will be reporting directly to the Geology Manager
The Successful Applicant:

Tertiary Qualified
-
At least5 years experience in a production based geology role
-
Focused on maintaining the highest health and safety standards
-
A track record in successful resource growth
-
Experience inGold/Hard rockenvironment will be highly regarded, though not essential
This role
Is offered on a FIFO or Residential basiswith attractiveRoster options of 8/6 or 12/9. As a member of this team you will receive a base between $140K - $160K, Super, an Annual Bonus. The role will lead to progression within the company either on this site or another location.
