The organisation we are representing is a major supplier of premium cotton which has been successfully operating for more then 20 years. An opportunity has been identified for an experienced Workplace Health and Safety Officer to join the team. This is a great opportunity for an experience candidate with a strong manufacturing background to establish themselves with a progressive and forward thinking organisation.  
 
 
We are seeking a dedicated WHSO / Safety Officer that can travel from plant to plant helping to implement safety management procedures within the organisation. This role will be a permanent positions. This will suit someone who takes a “hands on” approach and loves to travel.  
  
The role: 

• Implementation of safety initiatives  
  
• Liaising with staff and people across the floor ensuring success of new policy  
  
• Performing Risk Assessments  
  
• Having a knowledge of current WH&S legislation  
  
• Being self-managed and be able to take control of new deployments  
  
• Delivering progress reports with managers  
  
• Consulting on how and what to do in regards to safety in the plant  
  
• Providing training and build relationships  
  
• Showing willingness to be part of the team and being passionate about safety  
  

 
To be considered for this opportunity you will be required to possess the following:-  
  
 

• Must hold Workplace Health & Safety Officer licence  
  
• Ideally hold experience in the manufacturing or agricultural sector  
  
• 1-2 years in Safety officer or similar position  
  
• Experience with Australian Standards  
  
• Strong leadership skills;  
  
• Strong decision making ability;  
  
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail;  
  
• Possess excellent analytical organizational and time management skills;  
  
• Have a dedicated approach to work and the ability to communicate on all levels.  
  
• Hold safety as a personal core value
