The purpose of this role is to deliver the timely and effective management of CTP insurance claims in accordance with the policy conditions and issued authority and for ensuring quality claims service to all counter & telephone enquiries. It is also to ensure effective claims management which comply with MAIA 1994 & Regulations and the Civil Liability Act 2003 & Regulations.
Key responsibilities:
* Determining whether rehabilitation referral required &
actioning
* Determining liability & issuing sharing notices as applicable
* Approving ongoing treatments
* Determining entitlements & negotiating settlements
* Accepting & authorising claims payments in ClaimCentre
* Preparing & participation at conferences, court hearings and
sharing disputes
* Instructing legal practitioners in case preparation
* Monitoring performance of solicitors, investigators, rehab
consultants
* Identifying & advising management of developing claims
trends
* Identifying methods to improve claims handling & cost control
Position Requirements:
* Knowledge of Motor Accident Insurance Act
* 1994 (MAIA 1994)
* Knowledge of MAIC Rehabilitation
* Knowledge of the Civil Liability Act 2003
* Knowledge of company guidelines and
* National CTP Claim Service Standards
* Decision-making & problem-solving skills
* Comprehension negotiation skills
* Knowledge of ClaimCentre
* Negotiating skills
