This huge global company is a world leader in providing technology solutions for a vast array of industries and uses. They are currently looking to recruit two Product/Software Testers to join their team in North Ryde.
 
The focus of the role will be to perform manual testing on new and existing software product lines in the areas of building management, security and video surveillance, and to work closely with development and testing teams in Sydney and overseas to ensure timely delivery of projects that meet customers' needs and expectations of quality.
 
You will execute manual test cases; perform regression, spot and break testing of functionality before handing the package over to the wider test team; set up large system test environments; collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and diagnose software issues; and record issues in the defect tracking system.  Additionally you will be responsible for more ad-hoc duties, such as installing software onto PC's, formatting disks etc.
 
The successful candidates for these roles MUST have:

• experience in PRODUCT/SOFTWARE testing, for example, video security systems, building security systems etc
• very good communication and interpersonal skills
• the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once, and to prioritise
• a basic knowledge of PCs and networking (able to build PCs, install software, debug etc)
• a knowledge of the SDLC and testing terms/processes
• a computer science degree or equivalent
• a knowledge of SQL (debug, macros, populate tables etc)
