Conference Manager Crown Conference Centre 12 month maternity leave contract As a Crown employee, you'll be part of this key asset of Australia's tourism and entertainment industry. Crown attracts over 16 million international and local visitors each year, generating amongst the largest international tourism revenue by an Australian company. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Conference Manager to join the award winning Crown Promenade Hotel Conference Centre team.With recent extensions, the Crown Conference Centre is Australias only purpose-built hotel conference facility; catering for large residential conferences, meetings, seminars and product launches. Two plenary rooms accommodating 660 and 840 delegates theatre-style respectively are complimented by 16 concurrent rooms and a purpose-built exhibition floor featuring a dedicated loading dock. Role responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Full management, planning and organisation of all conferences within the Crown Conference Centre.
- Ensure ongoing client relationships are maintained
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including Food and Beverage and our Audio Visual supplier
- Ensure growth opportunities are pro-actively sought-after via on-selling of Crown services and products.
What you need: - Significant experience in a conference, exhibition and/or event planning role in a similar sized organisation
- Proven organisational and time management skills
- Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills
- Sound financial skills i.e. experience in managing budgetsSound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Exposure to a Hotel Property Management system such as OPERA is a distinct advantage.
