This is the position you have been looking for. Working in a long established and well know venue set in beautiful surrounds on the north shore. The operation seeks a talented leader to mentor the brigade and create and influence the menu offerings. This is a great opportunity for experienced head chef or the right sous chef, to be creative and build on an already successful business base. This position will oversee all culinary aspects of the venues food and beverage department including a la carte and banquets. This is a fantastic position for the right candidate to establish the culinary offerings and show their creative flair. These responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Recipe and menu development Recruitment, training and staff developmen Food, labour and inventory cost control Understanding of budgets, targets and KPI Compliance with sanitation, OH&S knowledge, labour legislation Able to adhere to and implement group policies and procedures Food quality and presentation Purchasing and supplier relations Staff hiring, training and development Previous experience within the short order/a la carte and function market Above all, you are a foodie and have a good understanding of current trends
The position is hands on and requires an individual with great organizational and time management qualities, and understands that they must contribute as part of the team. You must have previous experience in a fast paced environment, and a true passion for the culinary industry. What is on Offer?
