As the successful APS6 Tendering Officer, your work would help support the expertise of this Department which holistically, supports government priorities and encourages community participation. This is in relation to tax and superannuation laws and the keeper of key corporate relationships with people, the government and other government agencies. Specifically, your duties will include; - Undertake tendering and complex agreement preparation including procurement and legal advice. Be accountable for managing allocated resources, setting work area priorities, managing workflows, developing strategies and evaluating business outcomes
- Manage and take responsibility for individual projects and work plans detailing measurable milestones and outcomes; monitor project and work progress and manage priorities
- Use experience and judgment to analyse what information is important and assess business development opportunities
- Analyse in detail ideas and opportunities and prepare documentation and recommendations to inform decision makers
- Prepare analysis and recommendations of identified business opportunities
- Has expertise to coordinate a range of business development processes and activities
- Provide timely advice and recommendations to stakeholders in relation to appropriate management policies, procedures and documentation preparation
- Research, monitor and review the delivery of services to the organisation in order to indentify trends, risks and best practice; communicate findings and make recommendations
- Engage with stakeholders on complex and sensitive issues in order to provide or obtain information
- Work collaboratively, consult and share information with own team and seek input from others to achieve business outcomes
- Modify activities and processes affecting how work is performed
- Frequently resolve problems using professional knowledge and experience, identification and development of ideas, analysis of alternative courses of action and their implications.
The skills required to be successful for this role; - Demonstrated experience in tenders and contract management
- Experience in delivery pr evaluation of tenders will be highly regarded
- Certificate IV in Government (Procurement) is highly desirable.
