They have an opportunity for a Production Engineer that wants to become a Manager / Supervisor and look after a number of Mechanical & Electrical fitters. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Engineer with between 10 to 15 years experience. On a daily basis you will: - Ensure technical assistance is provided to the Operations team in an accurate and timely manner to enable departmental KPI’s to be met
- To assist in the purchase of product (or change of supplier) where engineering expertise will enhance the purchase function
- Manage Product Quality & write reports
- To assist in the purchase of product (or change of supplier) where engineering expertise will enhance the purchase function
- Manage Mechanical & Electrical Fitters and Maintenance team
- Coordinate Production improvement projects within the Operations team
- Create and develop efficient tooling required for all of the Operations
- To complete Internal Change Requests in a timely and accurate manner
- To coordinate projects as necessary and provide support in areas such as technical specifications, engineering design,documentation and commissioning
- To respond to technical enquires in a timely and supportive manner
- To assist with the maintenance requirements as necessary
- Manage Variable Factory Costs
Applicants will have:
- 10 years + experience Supervision/Management in a Production environment
- Excellent Communication skills
- Commercial Aptitude
- Experience within Mechanical and Electrical hands on Engineering
- People/Change Management skills
