Our client is a specialized Engineering Consultancy that are involved in  maritime consulting to the petrochemical sector, ranging from vessel design and modification to marine structural engineering and mooring design.

The role of the Naval Architect will be to manage multiple projects, from tender to execution commissioning and handover.  You will be delegating design and drafting to other team members as required using in-house design tools AutoCAD, Maxsurf, NAPA, Strand7, Multiframe, AQWA, Orcaflex, others. You will also be required to manage  work carried out by external contractors such as Tank Testing, complex FEA, Noise Engineering, Metocean data etc. Writing and presenting reports to client is also integral to the role as is the ability to sell technical solution to the client. 

Typical works undertaken include new vessel design, modification of existing vessels, Mooring Analysis, Motions and Stability Analysis and Vehicle System Design. 

Experience in the field of vessel and vessel system design and manage, as well as  mooring analysis is an advantage; qualification can be Civil or Structural Engineering, or a Naval Architect.
