THE ROLE
Reporting to the Principal, the main duties of this Team Leader / Environmental Engineer include, but are not limited to the following:
· Assist in the management of their national projects involving contaminated land, acid sulphate soils investigations, environmental impact assessment and project approvals
· Provide technical advice to internal and external project team members
· Manage existing project workloads whilst seeking new business
· Be a proactive project team member who enjoys problem solving, lateral thinking and be able to effectively apply scientific and engineering principles to achieve innovative and practical outcome
· Manage the design of various water related systems and infrastructure such as rainwater
· Handle the recommendations for alternative energy systems that would complement the operation of water related systems
· Modelling system performance and designing civil and hydraulic components
· Handle the construction supervision and management of the project components
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
As a result of significant recent projects being awarded to the group they offer outstanding career opportunities to experienced consulting engineers. The ideal candidate will have:
· A minimum of 10 years Australian Environmental Engineering experience in engineering consulting
· Degree Qualified in Environmental / Civil
· Proven understanding of Australian standards and local construction methods
· Excellent technical skills to lead and manage projects and contribute to project outcomes
· Good business development skills and local and national contacts
· Experience in lateral thinking, problem solving, integrated sustainable infrastructure design
· Proven experience in project management / coordination
· Experience in a complementary field related to environmental engineering
