Civil Design Engineer

My client is a multidisciplinary engineering design consultancy who has recently been successful in securing new civil infrastructure projects. They are highly successful in the ACT Civil Infrastructure market, and as such have won a number of recent tenders. As a result, a new role has been created for a 12d Civil Design Engineer to join their Land Development team.


As a 12d Civil Design Engineer, you will be involved in the detailed design and documentation of land development projects, and related residential and capital projects. You will report directly to the Land Development Team Manager who will provide you with support and autonomy. The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Stakeholder liaison;
  • Preparing tender, contractor and client documentation;
  • Design of subdivisions, roads, drainage, sewers and water;
  • Co-ordinating project related issues; and
  • Monitoring project budgets and providing regular updates.


 The key requirements of the role are:
  • Civil Engineering qualifications;
  • 3 - 5 years experience as a civil designer;
  • Design expertise in subdivisions, roads, and drainage;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering design processes; and
  • Intimate knowledge of 12d and AutoCAD (essential).
