With a head office based in Melbournes SE Suburbs our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee some of their major commercial projects.
Reporting to the General Manager you will be enjoy a broad and hands-on role and will be well supported by a highly skilled team. A key to being successful in this role will be your strong people skills and sound structural steel project experience. The role will also call for well-developed oral and written communication skills, good organisational skills, computer literacy, and natural leadership qualities.
Key responsibilities will include:

Completing assigned projects according to budget, program and specific objectives

Management, training and assessment of assigned staff
-
Assisting in the preparation, submission and negotiation of variations submissions

Maintaining and reporting on the performance of all projects

Overseeing site activities in conjunction with the Site Forman and client and prepare works programs

Attending weekly project meetings report on the status of variations and submissions
-
Ensuring compliance with contractual & legal obligations
-
Supervise subcontractors
-
Quality Assurance & OH&S requirements

Management training and staff assessment
To be considered for this position you will be an experienced Project Manager and you will ideally have experience successfully managing and completing medium to large scale projects on time and on budget. Engineering degree qualifications are essential.
