This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive team with large expansion plans. Your role will be to effectively plan, coordinate and maximise the mine plan layout to meet operational targets. There is a lot of autonomy in this role, so a self starter and someone who is keen to succeed is the right fit for this organisation.

The Position:

• Develop effective dragline mining methods to support overall mine plan
• Implement schedules inclusive of Short Range Forecast (SRF)
• Co-ordinate implementation of schedules with operations
• Ensure that governmental development approvals processes are achieved
• Drill and Blast design and layout procedures
• Completion of detailed reporting systems of plans and schedules

The Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in mine planning and planning systems
• Demonstrated experience with the development and utilisation of planning models
• Demonstrated experience with COAL or HARD ROCK mining (3 years +)
• Degree qualifications (mining engineering related)
• Strong Software application: Vulcan, XPAC, XACT
• Experience in OC planning, budget and 3 year plan development highly regarded,
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
