We require an experienced Estimator with an excellent knowledge of Civil Construction to get involved with a successful Qld based Civil Contracting organization.
The successful applicant will enjoy working in a team environment and also have ability to work autonomously when required. Involvement and experience in the tender process will be important and the individual will enjoy achieving required results that will benefit the continual growth of this exciting company.
The person will be driven and innovative, and will enjoy successfully being involved in all areas of the project.
Ideally the candidate will possess all or most of the following skills and attributes.
At least 5-10 years in a similar estimating role, or proven career growth demonstrating the ability to move into this position.
Experience working in either a civil contracting environment or building discipline with a broad understanding of earthworks, concrete and beyond.
The ability to work within a management group consisting of project managers, engineers and foreman will be extremely important.
Must have customer exposure and be customer focused.
Excellent understanding of OH&S issues and requirements on site.
Experience in submitting accurate competitive tenders on time is critical.
Ability to work in an autonomous environment
excellent reporting and communication skills
Computer literate
