An exceptional opportunity now exists for a Community Action Leader to Join the Territorial Mission & Resource Team - Social located in South Queensland. Reporting to the Director, this role will be responsible for developing and delivering local level community initiatives to boost engagement, capability and participation among people experiencing barriers to employment and social inclusion. Key responsibilities of the position include: - Design, develop, deliver and organise the Better Future Local Solutions program (BFLS)
- Ensure all reporting and data collection are accurate and available as required
- Develop, organise and plan Local Advisory Group
- Develop and Maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders
To be successful in the role, you will possess: - A commitment to the Christian faith and values, ethos and mission of TSA and an ability to offer pastoral assistance in day to day work activities
- Tertiary or other qualifications within Community Services, Social Work or similar discipline with a minimum of Certificate IV qualifications, or extensive relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of local services and local labour market opportunities.
- Community development skills and experience.
- Ability to understand and manage complex funding arrangements and government contractual obligations.
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Highly effective planning, organisational, problem solving and evaluation skills
- Sound computer literacy
- Energetic and flexible with a positive attitude
- Ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes
- Minimum 2-3 years supervisory/management experience
- Experience in economic development, labour market development and/or a track record with the business community.
- Experience and confidence to engage with local industry representatives at Chief Executive Officer level and create the bridge between the economic and social welfare sectors in the local community.
- Current Driver's licence
