Sporting a number of legal entities that have been acquired through an aggressive strategy over the last decade this ASX listed major has a number of single entities that would be large companies in their own right.
Reporting to the Group Tax Manager, you will have the funding and unwavering support from key finance executives (eg CFO, Group FMs etc) so that you can effect real change.
A number of the accounting executives have strong tax backgrounds but have transitioned into vanilla finance roles meaning there is a real appetite to tighten controls.
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

reducing the time taken to complete the consolidated tax return

dealing with the compliance related challenges stemming from acquisitions

putting some real rigour around their tax effect accounting practices

coaching, training and mentorship around procedure and systems
-
assistance in implementation of a new tax system)
With a still-growing, nimble business strategy this role will present you with the complexity you crave and the ability to effect change that you demand.
You will bring ten (plus) years experience in a commercial tax compliance role or be at Senior Manager / Director level within a big four accounting firm.
The tax compliance transformation that you will drive will be backed at the highest level and the remuneration package offered demonstrates their willingness to dedicate funding to the tax team for sound initiatives.
